Camel

The ride on the camel is quite even and easy.
It is just like sailing a ship on the ocean, except for the lack of water.
There is no water to see anywhere.
All you can see is sand in every direction.

The wind blows sand into your eyes and nose.
You cannot breathe and you cannot see. But you can sense the sand between your teeth and the smell of the camel on which you are riding.

The heat of the desert sun is heavy.
You are thirsty – but the camel keeps on walking.
The camel can keep on walking for days without drinking.
But you can’t.
You have to find a place with water.

A voice calls from somewhere in the caravan.
They have found an oasis!
It is time for a rest in the shade and it is time for quenching your thirst.
