X-word no. 7

When translating a Danish text into English, writing an English summary of a Danish text OR writing an essay about a certain topic (all of these tasks are included in the written English exam) your idiomatic and vocabulary skills will be an important factor when your work is marked.
This crossword is designed to train your ability to translate both very common and less common words from Danish into English, challenging both your knowledge of basic English grammar, idiomatics (English-sounding expressions and phrases) and your general vocabulary skills.

X-word no.1 (basic grammar)
This crossword trains your language skills as well as your knowledge of basic grammatical categories.
X-word no. 2 (verbs)
This crossword especially challenges your knowledge of verb forms (tense and time).
It also tests your knowledge of the Latin terms for different tenses and your knowledge of irregular verbs.
X-word no.3 (precision)
Sometimes a Danish word has more than one translation when you translate it into English. This crossword trains your ability to be as precise as possible when translating a Danish word into its correct English equivalent.
X-word no. 4: US to GB English
This week's crossword is designed to train your ability to distinguish between American words and spelling as opposed to British words and spelling. You will asked to translate American words into their proper British equivalents.
X-word no. 5: Prefixes
This crossword tests your knowledge of prefixes and how they can be used to give an adjective a negative or opposite meaning.
X-word no. 6: English-Danish translation
This week's crossword trains your ability to translate both common and uncommon English words into Danish.
