What we expect from the participants - and a video

Here is what we expect from you. There is also a small video made by participants in the PDW in Nottingham.

Information about PDWs

You are attending one of the national eTwinning Professional Development Workshops (PDW). We heartfully greet you welcome in Denmark and Sweden for three good, joyful and hard working days with other eTwinners, and with people from a number of eTwinning's National Support Services as well.
We expect a lot of new eTwinning partnerships to be formed during those days, as it has been the result from other recent PDWs.

These workshops are aimed at teachers who want to learn more about eTwinning and develop their skills in European collaboration using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The workshops bring together participants from different European countries to network and share experiences.

Video from another PDW

Just to show you an example of how a PDW can wind up, we have taken some pictures and interviews from the PDW in Nottingham, UK - September 2006. This PDW focused on Special Needs Education, and these subjects are not part of the Building Bridges workshop.
However the broad scope and focus on collaboration is the same in all of the PDWs in any of the eTwinning countries.

Bring information from your on school

Look at the video to see how a workshop can take place. But to be prepared to meet 130 other European teachers, all being your potential eTwinnings partners, you have to bring some written information with you. Some short information about your school, the age of children, where is the school situated, the webpage of the school and your email.
